EMPTINESS DANCING
by Alain Allard and Sarah Pitchford
a moves into consciousness
An invitation and opportunity to be (with) movement, music and meditation.
What these three have in common is their obvious lack of ’solidity’ we cannot say they have a definite beginning or end.
They are not so much ’things' as felt sensations, moods, invitations to dissolve.
They unite rather than separate, are empty of any particular shape, no seeming inside or outside.
And it is this ’emptiness’ that brings us into contact with the true nature of all being, our ’own being’, all Being’s; formless, spacious, infinite.
That is what dances, the music, movement, meditation, shapes coming and going with thoughts sensations, moods, feelings.
The emptiness that dances is not a matter of separate ingredients it is raw immediacy, unfiltered by thought or labels.
It is just whatever appears to be happening.
We come together to rest back and be with what is, the simple beauty of this moment; continual aliveness.
Breathed and danced through life as life.
In these days together we will dance with music, sit in silence, share in movement and words. And be with whatever comes to be expressed.

Alain (UKCP) and Sarah (Laban) both trained in Therapy, and with Gabrielle Roth.
They founded "Moves into Consciousness" in 1997 and have held regular movement classes and workshops ever since.
As well as their continued dance and individual work, they also have strong meditation and devotional
practice which they incorporate in all they share and explore in their teaching.
